Job Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance: Lead, consult, and supervise staff in the resolution of technical issues.
- Problem Analysis: Evaluate problems, implement preventative measures, and engage in ad-hoc meetings with clients to ensure proactive solutions.
- Network Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in enterprise network management and service monitoring tools.
- Configuration and Maintenance: Skillfully configure and maintain a variety of network and security devices, including Cisco, Palo Alto, VPN, QoS, and Dynamic Routing.
- Technical Support: Provide comprehensive support and troubleshooting to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Escalated Support: Manage and resolve escalated network support issues, ensuring effective problem resolution.
Experience requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Industry Background: Previous experience in an Internet Service Provider or Managed Service business.
- Network Operating Systems: Proficiency in managing network operating systems, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba ClearPass, FortiGate, SD-WAN, and IOS.
- Protocol Knowledge: Understanding of communication protocols, particularly TCP/IP, and routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
- Diagnostic Tools: Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools such as Zabbix and SolarWinds network tools.
- Switch Expertise: Hands-on experience with a range of switches, including Cisco Nexus switches 7900, Cisco Catalyst 3800, 3700, 2900, and 6500.
- Wireless Systems: Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst 9800/2504 Series Wireless Controllers and Aruba ClearPass.
- Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls from Palo-Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, Sangfor, and Mikrotik.
- Load Balancing: Experience with F5 and FortiGate load balancers.
Education requirements
- Bachelor’s degree of Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Telecom Engineering
