YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

Directing and implementing the business strategies as well as carrying out sales and marketing activities through sales team to achieve overall business target. Keeping close relationship with existing key customers and suppliers.

Lead, manage, motivate, coach and develop the sales team.

Sales & Marketing Activities Business Achievement:

  • Leads and develops sales teams in the execution of sales strategies to maximize the sales.
  • Objectives and increase profitability.
  • Develops and manages the sales forecast process that meet the business requirement.
  • Monitors and controls stock position and debtors, ensures a proper inventory level of all products assigned.

Sales Activities:

  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate in key customer needs
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities and keep updated of Project Pipeline.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
  • Create frequent reviews and updated reports in CRM System.
  • Ensure the availability of stock for sales by connect with the customer to input Forecast Accuracy.
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve better results
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams

Business Development & Supplier Management:

  • Generates and keeps updating marketing plan for relevant products in full co-operation with suppliers. Recommends objectives and strategies, implement and monitor the plan through the sales team and report progress to suppliers via Business Manager.
  • Strengthens long term relationship with existing key business partners to expand products/market portfolio.
  • Initiates regular market survey in the related industries to monitor trends as well as identify new business opportunity. Develops the business through new opportunity and ensure the maximum sales and profit growth achieved.

Staff Management:

  • Leads, trains, motivate, coaches and develop sales team to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently. Gives all staff on the job training on a regular basis.
  • Develops and manages the interface among the sales team, customer service, and the warehouse as well as relevant suppliers to ensure the smooth and punctual flow of products to customers.

Others:

  • Ensures thorough knowledge and processes of the Company Integrated Management System [IMS: ISO9001, 14001and OHSAS18001:2007] and to comply with all procedures in accordance with IMS Certification.
  • Perform other activities as may be assigned by supervisor.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Material Science or Chemical Engineering or Science
  • At least 10 years in sales & marketing or Material Science
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken)
  • Effective Communication, Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
  • Strategic Thinking & Strong Analytical Skills
  • Project Management
  • Initiative-taking with great drive to achieve and with great initiative
  • Excellent Business / Commercial Acumen
