The Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for provisioning, managing, monitoring, and secure cloud resources, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with the various teams and cloud providers to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing costs, implementing backup and restore processes, and ensuring the overall health and performance of our cloud environment.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years + proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components, including compute, network, storage, databases, and security practices.
- Experience with middleware components, such as NGINX, K8s ingress proxy, web servers, and load balancers.
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools and the ability to configure and analyze metrics.
- Knowledge of backup and restore processes in the cloud environment.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in the cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Cloud Engineer) are a plus.
