We are seeking for a Logistics Specialist in Bangkok, Thailand.
How you will make a difference @ FARO
Perform duties to monitor, coordinate, track and distribute domestic and international shipments and receipt of material and products, between the organization, its customers and vendors and other administrative works as assigned.
- Review shipments prepared by others to determine compliance with requirements and communicate discrepant or missing items.
- Perform order fulfilment roles by working closely with related personals.
- Determine requirements for and generate shipping documentation to ensure compliance with regulations and carrier requirements. Select shipping methods and appropriate carriers from among approved group to ensure compliance with customer requirements and meet cost control objectives. Identify and label shipments. Contact and schedule pick up of shipments by carriers and regulate pick up times to meet shipping schedules and maintain flow of materials and trucks in dock area. Issue documentation to driver for signature.
- Monitor, track and trace import & export shipments and returned items, investigate, resolve and report on discrepancies and annotate computerized records as required. Coordinate and document import shipments generating appropriate documentation as required.
- Perform physical items receiving and items issuing to requestor and handling system transaction or posting in the system.
- Perform drop shipments as required and verify delivery of items.
- Coordinate the receipt of imported goods and materials and prepare required documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Review freight invoices for accuracy and take action to communicate errors and request correction as required. Generate and update periodic reports and spread sheets.
- Inventory management and ensuring items are neatly organized to smooth out the pick-pack activities.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy and support cycle count or annual count activities.
- Ensuring 5S housekeeping.
- Assist in training shipping personnel in routing, documentation and shipment scheduling procedures to provide for back up within the logistics and fulfilment function.
- Support administrative duties or any other duties as assigned.
This position requires
- Degree in Logistics Management or related field.
- Possess 3 – 5 years relevant working experience in a Logistics/Supply Chain environment.
- Demonstrates good English written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with warehouse processes, shipping documentation and inventory control.
