Serve the needs of the business by optimising our online presence and understanding our competitors’ overall online performance while being the main point of contact between the Corporate Office and properties within its regions. This includes leading and executing social media content strategy, training & workshops, as well as competitors’ analysis and strategy planning for different online channels. This role will manage Minor Hotels, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa, and Avani Hotels and Resorts social media platforms. He/she will also liaise with internal teams for content planning and development to drive brand awareness, content engagement, and conversion.Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:
- Drive overall social media content strategy for Minor Hotels, Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spa, and Avani Hotels and Resorts social media platforms.
- Manage content output on social media to maximize awareness, enter new markets, drive traffic to brand.com and increase direct social media revenue.
- Create and manage content across multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest etc. to ensure consistency in voice and cultivating an increased brand equity and company awareness in all areas of social media.
- Provide regional trainings and delivering workshops that keep up with the ever-changing trends.
- Support all properties to optimize and manage social profiles within brand standards and the group strategy.
- Audit and analyze the competitors' social media presence and compare our efforts to theirs to create a Social Media Optimisation strategy aligned to the overall Commercial Department 3-year plan.
Innovation and Engagement:
- Implement new social media channels/approaches that will deliver results and will position Minor Hotels as the brand to benchmark against.
- Create, develop, and implement social media campaigns/competitions that increase audience interaction while positioning the brands and the group at the foremost of the hospitality industry.
- Submission of campaigns, strategies and results to different third-party awards (i.e. HOTELS Mag, Shorty Awards, etc.) that will reflect the group’s initiatives and their impacts within the department.
Ecommerce and Digital:
- Support the Commercial teams to have integrated campaigns across different online channels.
- Drive the rebranding/opening of new properties to increase awareness and position of the brand, especially in new markets.
- Be a communication link between Minor Hotels headquarters and regional offices/properties to share an understanding of Minor’s established brands and standards within new markets.
- Proven background in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or similar fields with at least 3 - 5 years’ experience preferred.
- Strong (written and verbal) communications skills in English.
- Creative thinker with an ability to connect creativity with the business goals and objectives.
- Ability to manage the relationship with both agency and internal stakeholders.
- Skills in photo editing tool such as Canva, Lightroom
- Strong proofreading and editing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms
- In-depth understanding of various social media platforms and their algorithm changes
- Experience using analytics tools, such as Facebook Insights and Google Analytics
- Understands the market and its competitors both locally and internationally.
- A keen eye for details.
- Skills in photography and videography is a plus.
