Job Description


To drive and enhance public relations activities for Minor Hotels and brands, achieving PR exposure, managing media relations, and growing and developing a loyal media list on behalf of the group.

This role is concerned with creating and maintaining a high profile and positive image for Minor Hotels and brands and ensuring customer preference by effectively communicating to media and industry partners.

THE SCOPE OF THE ROLE

The scope of this role includes the following:

  • Minor Hotels and its brands, including:
    • Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas
    • Avani Hotels & Resorts
    • NH Hotels and NH Collection
    • Additional brands and sub-brands

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Minor Hotels team members always find new ways to look after the business, their colleagues and. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Work with the Global PR team to develop strategic and tactical PR campaigns throughout the year for brands, individual, new-opening and need properties
  • Support Global PR team to develop and activate PR strategy for brands
  • Build relations with international media and proactively seek PR opportunities to promote property portfolio and brands within these media
  • Assist with maintaining and managing third-party PR agencies, supporting overall PR strategy
  • Ongoing communication with property GMs and Marcoms teams to keep up-to-date with key news and activities and help create story angles to promote to international media to drive coverage
  • Prepare ongoing schedule of press releases highlighting key news, stories and angles to drive coverage
  • Assist with securing and management of ongoing schedule of media and influencer visits to Anantara and Avani properties, liaising with international PR agencies and hotel teams to ensure seamless and enjoyable stays showcasing all property attributes as relevant per opportunity
  • Build and maintain relationships with the key stakeholders and partners required (including airlines, tourism authorities, owners & business partners) to ensure the delivery of the PR strategy
  • Seek out opportunities for sponsorship, partnerships and cross-promotions for the benefit of the brands and/or properties
  • Press office responsibilities including responding to media requests, maintaining PR systems, press clippings library, image library and media database
  • Support with providing content for monthly reports including updates on PR activities and market intelligence
  • Support development of social media campaigns and all aspects of content creation and promotion
  • Oversee photo and video shoots as required


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent international degree, ideally in PR, Communications or Business
  • 5+ years of experience in overall PR, Communications and Digital disciplines including social media, website, SEO, data analysis
  • Excellent writing skills in English and ideally another language or languages
  • Experience in similar role within luxury hospitality or with a relevant agency background
  • Experience with PR tools such as Google Analytics, Gorkana, Cision, Agility or similar
  • Experience or knowledge of hotel operations and systems
  • Ability to manage wide range of tasks and responsibilities at the same time
  • A strong manager who can articulate a vision and translate it to reality
  • Self-starter and independent, able to take on own areas and projects
  • Excellent communication skills
