About the VP - Sales (Automotive)Role:
The Vice President of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving the sales strategy and achieving revenue targets for our automotive company. This leadership position requires a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with extensive experience in the automotive industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales team, developing, and executing sales strategies, fostering key customer relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the company. This role offers a competitive base salary with allowance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve company's revenue and profitability goals
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management to maximise individual and team effectiveness
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, target markets, and potential customers to expand the company's customer base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, dealerships, and strategic partners to drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and operations, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives
- Conduct regular sales reviews, analyse sales data, and generate reports to monitor performance, identify trends, and develop action plans for continuous improvement
- Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to proactively identify opportunities and potential challenges
- Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and targets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely achievement of sales objectives
- Evaluate and enhance sales processes, systems, and tools to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and support sales team productivity
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to promote the brand, generate leads, and build relationships
To succeed in this role, you must have the ability to deliver work effectively and co-operatively with management and your team, across borders and internal matrix under pressure with strong leadership skill
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership in the automotive industry, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in sales roles
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, industry dynamics, and customer needs
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth, achieve revenue targets, and manage sales pipelines effectively
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate with customers and partners
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Strong business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing market conditions
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
